As elected members of the Bristol Democratic Town Committee, Bristol Democrats are committed to:

The elected members of the Bristol Democratic Town Committee act as an engagement platform to help provide a centralized hub for active dialog around ideas, issues, and insights. The way we win is by organizing. The place we start is right here in Bristol, RI.
A key part of our role is to help enhance dialogue and action among local elected Democratic leaders and to encourage more local voices to participate in our democracy by increasing voter participation, supporting local Democratic candidates, and becoming elected leaders. We are the official Democratic Party endorsing body for the offices of: Bristol Town Administrator, Bristol Town Clerk, and Bristol Town Council (five seats).

For more than 200 years, our party has led the fight for civil rights, health care, Social Security, workers’ rights, and women’s rights. We are the party of Barack Obama, John F. Kennedy, FDR, and the countless everyday Americans who work each day to build a more perfect union.
Our platform aligns with the principles of our state and federal Democratic Party with an evolving yet resolute focus on creating a just and fair government that represents all.
